30 Mar 2025: Biographies of Workhouse Nurses added.
The Workhouse Network brings together museums, heritage organisations, archives and universities interested in welfare history.
The Network exists to share expertise, develop skills, knowledge and understanding and to promote the understanding of the history and contemporary relevance of poverty, welfare and the poor.
This is a relaunched Workhouse Network after funding for the original network ceased. This incarnation of the Workhouse Network is unfunded and relies on volunteers and the Friends of Gressenhall's IT systems.
The original domain for the 2019 to 2021 funded project 'workhousenetwork.org' is no longer available. New domains, workhousenetwork.org.uk and workhousenetwork.uk, have been registered in 2024.
